CORE or Clifton Openwater Race Experience is held 3 times annually.

CORE is a timed race and is a 3000m swim.

Competitors can do the race as a solo or as a relay team of 2.

 

The race is held at the same location as 1SOMS but follows a different route past the well known Barker Rock

This race is a pre-registered race and the entry form is online. (Race numbers are as per 1SOMS)

The race, besides being timed has some great prizes.

Route is spectator friendly and able to be watched (with the aid of binoculars).

Water craft are required to be anchored in designated zone.

 

Direction of swim is clockwise. Wet start. Wet Finish. Swimming behind the wave break-zone.

Relay transition is in the shallows after Buoy 5.
